Sunday School

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. Nehemiah 8:8

Sunday School is a fun, interactive time for students of all ages to learn more about Jesus and about the Christian life. From 10:00am to 11:15am, teachers and students examine the scriptures and the students are given a deeper understanding of the meaning the of the text and its application to their lives. Questions are encouraged and sometimes the normal topic of the day is set aside to answer pressing questions that students might have.

Sunday school is broken into a number of age appropriate classes.

Class Ages Description
Primary  3-5 Students are taught simple bible stories using movement and visual aids. They are required to memorize a short golden text for their class review.
Beginners 6-10 Beginners are taught the bible story using learning aids, songs, coloring books and video presentations. They are taught a very short scripture verse and have a more detailed class review.
Juniors 11-13 Juniors memorize the adult length Golden Text and have more indepth study and review of their sunday school lessons.
High School 14-17 High School students are making very important decision that can impact their lives. Their lessons are focused on applying Gods words to their decisions and to make good choices. They study the scripture in depth and their lessons are focused on "right now" applications.
College & Career 18-24 The College & Career students are post high school students who are in college or working. They are taught by our Assistant Pastor and are challenged to apply the scripture to their every day lives. They are a sophisticated group and ask probing questions that come from their new adult life experiences.
Adult 25+ The Adult class is designed to give teachers the freedom to initiate discussions that encourage a deeper study of the days lesson, sometimes bypassing the commentary altogether. Life lessons are shared and adult students learn from one another while sharing the scriptures. They are required to memorize their scriptures and review as well.
